FAQ
Q: How often should I use Lanomax®?
A: For dogs weighing 20 kg or less, the standard dosage is 1–2 drops in each eye, 3 times daily. Since Lanomax® is preservative-free and safe, you may increase the frequency or amount for larger dogs, advanced cataracts, or faster results.
Q: Does Lanomax® contain preservatives?
A: No, it is preservative-free. While this ensures safety even at high dosages, it means the solution is vulnerable to bacteria. To prevent contamination, never touch the bottle tip to any surface and refrigerate the bottle after opening.
Q: Are there any side effects?
A: No. The active ingredient, lanosterol, is a natural compound found in all animals and is considered safe. However, please maintain strict hygiene, as using a contaminated bottle (due to touching the tip) can lead to eye infections.
Q: Is it safe for animals with diabetes?
A: Yes, Lanomax® is safe for animals with diabetes and is effective for treating diabetic
cataracts.
Q: Can I use it on other animals?
A: Yes, Lanomax® is effective for treating cataracts in a wide range of animals, including birds, minks, and horses.
Q: Can I use it with other eye drops?
A: We do not recommend simultaneous use because the high viscosity of Lanomax® may block the absorption of other drops. If necessary, please allow an interval of at least 3 hours between applications.
Q: Why is there sticky residue around the eyes?
A: This is not a side effect but a natural remnant of the carrier component after the active ingredient is absorbed. You can gently rinse the residue away with water.
Q: Do I need to continue use after the cataracts are cured?
A: No, once the cataracts are fully resolved, continued treatment is not necessary.
However, some users choose to continue with a low-maintenance dose to prevent recurrence.
